Along with the recent 2014 Silverado HD, Chevrolet decided to reveal another concept which they think it shows "the extremes of preparedness." The concept has been unveiled at the State Fair of Texas and will be making its appearance this November at the 2013 SEMA Show.

The concept is called Black Ops and has been created based on a Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4x4.

The exterior has been painted in a black color combined with custom-fabricated lower body armor and a bed-mounted Truck Vault storage unit. The concept will also be featuring a solar power pack, gloves, military first aid kit, a pair of gas masks, a rope and folding shovel.

Chevy didn't give any details on what engine will be found under the hood. However, it is expected to carry the same engine found in the standard Silverado. There are two versions of this engine available: a 5.3 liter V-8 which is able to produce 355 horsepower and the incredible 6.2-liter V-8 engine which delivers 420 horsepower.
